The Modern Language Center Organization, doing business as Modern Language Center ("MLC", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the rights you have under Mexican law — specifically the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares (the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties).

01Who we are

MLC is a provider of enterprise language training, consulting, translation, and interpretation services for companies in Mexico. We are the "controller" ("Responsable") of your personal data.

02What personal data we collect

We obtain data directly (when you provide it through our website, forms, email, WhatsApp, in person, or during the provision of services) and indirectly (through tracking technologies on our website).

Necessary purposes (required to provide our services — no consent required)

1. Providing and administering language training, consulting, translation, and interpretation services.
2. Academic management: level assessment, group formation, instructor assignment, class delivery, attendance tracking, grading, and progress reporting.
3. Invoicing, billing, and management of the commercial relationship.
4. Service-related communication (confirmations, reminders, notices).
5. Compliance with legal, accounting, tax, and administrative obligations.
6. Security, fraud prevention, and information protection.

Secondary purposes (based on your consent)

1. Sending you information about our services, promotions, events, and relevant content.
2. Satisfaction surveys and service improvement.

04Sensitive data

We do not process sensitive personal data (such as racial or ethnic origin, health, sexual preferences, religious, philosophical or moral beliefs, union membership, political opinions, or biometric data). Should we ever need to process sensitive data, we will obtain your express written consent as required by law.

Financial data is processed only with your express consent.

05Who we share data with

We may share your personal data with:

• Service providers acting on our behalf (processors): video-conferencing platforms (e.g. Zoom), cloud hosting and storage providers, and academic, accounting, and billing tools.
• Institutions and partners abroad when you participate in international training programs (e.g. Train Abroad) in countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada, or the United States (international transfer).
• Competent authorities where required by law, court order, or a founded and reasoned mandate from a competent authority.

In all cases, any transfer is carried out on a legal basis (legal obligation, performance of the contracted service, or your consent), and we require third parties to adopt adequate security, confidentiality, and privacy measures.

06Your ARCO rights & revocation of consent

Under Mexican law you have the right to Access, Rectify, Cancel, and Object to the processing of your personal data, as well as to revoke any consent you have given us.
